$104,500 For an Owner of a Smoke Shop due to Insurance Agent’s Negligence

Our client owned a smoke shop that was damaged by fire. After the fire, he submitted a claim, but the insurance company denied it because he didn’t maintain a protective safeguard (central fire alarm).

We sued the insurance agent because the agent had unilaterally and negligently completed the insurance application incorrectly indicating that our client has a central fire alarm when the insurance agent knew that our client didn’t.
