The 14th Annual Young Lawyers Summit was held on June 24, 2023, gathering many young legal professionals seeking to enhance their careers and establish meaningful connections within the legal community. This highly anticipated event took place at the Little Caesars Arena, providing an ideal platform for young lawyers to engage in professional development and networking opportunities.

Mr. Hamawi's expertise in insurance coverage, insurance litigation, business negotiations, and commercial litigation was evident as he shared his valuable insights with the attendees. Through his four-step analysis using the acronym DICE (Declarations, Insuring Agreement, Conditions, and Exclusions), he guided young lawyers on how to read and interpret insurance policies effectively. It was an engaging and informative session that left the audience with a better understanding of insurance policy interpretation.

The Young Lawyers Summit was also graced by the presence of esteemed speakers, including Michigan Supreme Court Justice Kyra Harris Bolden, and State Bar of Michigan President James Heath. Their wisdom and experience provided invaluable guidance to aspiring lawyers and served as a source of inspiration for all.

To commemorate this exceptional event, we have attached some photos capturing the energy, enthusiasm, and camaraderie that permeated throughout the Summit. These images serve as a testament to the vibrant legal community that the Young Lawyers Summit cultivates.

On behalf of the Insurance and Indemnity Law Section, Mr. Hamawi extends his heartfelt gratitude to all the attendees, speakers, sponsors, and organizers who made the 14th Annual Young Lawyers Summit a resounding success. Mr. Hamawi wishes to congratulate all members of the Young Lawyers Section of the State Bar of Michigan, especially its Chair, Colman Potts; and Chair-Elect, Tanya Cripps-Serra, for organizing a fantastic event.
